BOLO 2009 brought together 120 agency professionals, suppliers, speakers and others in the marketing and advertising industry for two and a half days of education, collaboration, networking and the occasional cocktail hour. Folks travelled from all over for the second annual agencyside conference. Keynotes were delivered from the likes of Google Managing Director Jim Lecinski, Founder of the Web Analytics Association and GrokDotCom Bryan Eisenberg and Alltop.com Co-Founder Guy Kawasaki. Through dozens of breakouts, technology labs and hands-on workshops, we discussed everything from search to augmented reality, how to tweet on behalf of your agency to making ideas explode online, and how to price and pitch digital marketing services to incorporating mobile into your marketing plans. Held at the urban, retro Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, we took some time to have fun and get to know each other as well at the Google cocktail reception (Googletinis were a big hit!) and on the swanky Sky Line Rooftop for sliders and ice cream floats for the Spyfu cocktail party.
The agencyside team enjoyed every minute of getting to know some of our industry’s true thought-leaders and the innovative, talented agencies that attended. We’re counting down the days until BOLO 2010!

@agencyside Thanks to everyone that made #BOLO2009 a great experience. I now need a week to offload my brain.
The #bolo2009 crowd was exceptionally cool. If these people were at all the local events I'd surely attend more. Friendly, fun, smart.
Props to #bolo2009 for having useful/fun swag.

Great discussion about how to be real people tweeting for a company brand being lead by @jackalert at #BOLO2009.
BOLO2009 really opened my eyes to the social media potential that's out there for my own advertising and for my clients. I was a little hesitant about the price, but after attending, I'm confident that I will recoup my investment many times over by applying what was learned.
Bolo 2009 was one of the best digital marketing conferences of the year. The buzz throughout the event was energizing and the speakers were engaging and insightful. I left with very specific examples of how I can immediately provide additional value to my clients.
Bolo delivered a long list of helpful insights for our company. We especially liked that it wasn't about entertaining us - but instead, about helping us sharpen our approach, providing resources, networking with affiliates and helping us stay on top of our game. We'll be back next year!
Great idea to educate agencies and the like. Have been visiting and speaking in various conferences but like the way it caters to first timers.
We will be using a lot of the information presented to help bring in more interactive business from our clients. After attending BOLO I feel more confident discussing online proposals and options.
"An excellent team effort and appreciate the professionalism.
I have a plan to pitch mobile solutions now thanks to @aaronpost and @michaeljbarber. I also have a few more tips and tricks from Guy now to apply to our Twitter strategy.
Great networking, great actionable takeaways, great weather...BOLO was awesome!
There were definitely some great takeaways from Bolo. Guy K's talk was a wonderful case-study style look at alltop and how he used/uses twitter to promote his business.
Need a week or so the synthesize the data. But I am very excited.
Was pleasantly surprised at how useful BOLO was, and I came back with pages of notes on things to implement at our agency.
Great conference. I will definitely look forward to attending future events.
